Demo & Community Manager (Social Media + Athlete Program)
Part-Time (Edwards CO)
We’re looking for a multitasking, stoke-slinging telemark enthusiast to take on this role of Demo, Social Media & Athlete Manager. This is a hybrid gig that combines event coordination, community building, content creation, and athlete relations — all wrapped in Bishop’s signature mix of irreverence and professionalism.
You’ll be the face of Bishop at ski demos, the voice of our brand online, and the glue that keeps our athlete team engaged and inspired. If you love skiing, storytelling, and connecting with people who still believe in the free heel, this is your kind of job.
What You’ll Do
Demo Program
- Plan, coordinate, and attend 12-18 Bishop Telemark demo events across the western U.S. over the course of the winter season.
- Prepare, transport, and maintain demo gear and display materials.
- Represent Bishop enthusiastically and professionally — spreading telemark gospel one skier at a time.
- Collect feedback and report results following each event.
Social Media Management
- Manage Bishop’s social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and others).
- High Season (Sept–Mar): 3–5 high-quality posts per week.
- Low Season (Apr–Aug): At least one post per week.
- Respond to comments and messages, and engage in online telemark discussions.
- Track growth and performance against follower goals.
Athlete Team Management
- Maintain regular contact with Bishop athletes and ensure positive brand representation.
- Collect and curate photos, videos, and stories for social media and marketing.
- Ensure athletes tag and promote Bishop appropriately.
Meetings & Metrics
- Participate in biweekly check-ins (virtual or in-person) to review upcoming content and events.
- Track social media growth goals and earn up to $1,500 in annual performance bonuses for hitting targets.
What You Get
Compensation:
- $1,000/month during high season (Sept–Mar)
- $250/month during low season (Apr–Aug)
- $150/day for demo events + $14/hr travel time
Bonuses: Up to $1,500/year for social media growth performance
Travel & Lodging: Reimbursed with receipts (reasonable meals, max two drinks per day)
Powder Hours: When it dumps 6+ inches at Vail or Beaver Creek, you know what to do
Who You Are
- You’re a skier who loves the telemark community and lifestyle
- You’ve got solid social media and communication skills
- You’re organized, independent, and comfortable juggling a variety of tasks
- You can represent Bishop with both professionalism and personality
- Bonus points if you’ve worked events, managed social media accounts, or wrangled athletes before
- You live locally in the Vail valley to come into the shop for meetings and stoke.
