      "It can make perfect turns, perform butter tricks in the park, slide around the mountain with ease, and dominate the off-piste terrain.

      Every time I took the Gonzo out, it reminded me of the essence of this sport. It’s a true gem that always leaves me wanting more.

      If you’re looking for your next telemark ski, the Bishop Gonzo should be at the top of your list."

      Better Than Described

      This is a better ski than Bishop thinks. It's described as an all mountain ski, and good as a quiver of 1 for east coast hardpack, but I've found it better than described. I'm a Colorado skier, but learned on the east coast as a kid. 60+ years skiing, and 25+ on tele skis. 95% now on telemark skis. I ski at Winter Park/Mary Jane and Powderhorn regularly. I've skied the Gonzo (170 with Outlaw X) in bumps and it excels there: easy to rotate, adept at slicing around bumps as needed, and forgiving in the tips when I point them into a sharp mogul by mistake. That twin tip design really helps in the bumps. I've skied them on late day groomed runs (when things get pretty scrapy), and found that downhill ski and edge easily able to hold on without skidding out, though a bit later in the turn than a more shaped ski. But once it got there, it was bombproof. My powder days have been limited to 6" storms, but found the Gonzos were easy to ski in Colorado's pretty dry snow. In super deep or manky conditions I might prefer a slightly longer ski, but that's for another day. Were $$ no object, I'd buy one of each, thank you very much.

      Hey, now... We love the Gonzo! We are in fierce agreement with you. Thank you!!

      Many stars for the Gonzo

      I purchased the Gonzos with BMF/R bindings this year in an attempt to switch to telemark after years of alpine skiing. I just finished my third day on them and my self esteem is at an all time high! I'm skiing in typical East Coast conditions and the skis and bindings are superb. Absolutely fantastic. I am so glad I made the dive into telemark skiing. So much more fun. Bishop technology made it made it easy-ish! I will be buying some Chedi's in the not-too-distant future and I love the fact that you can swap the bindings without having to buy another set. Well done Bishop!

      Nothing warms our hearts more than hearing Bishop gear facilitated a successful alpine-to-tele conversion! Welcome aboard.

      This stuff is dialed in!

      Finally found my perfect groomer tele setup. Gonzos with BMF/Rs with modern Scott Synergy 75mm boots, well, it's perfect. Ice, crust, crud, powder, they run well in it all. Best setup I've ever had. Still lacking? Some skill on my part but we are working on that. Bishop, thanks for building great gear.

      We're sure you're being humble, you shred! Glad we could be of assistance.

      Turn

      Not enough time on real snow. Skiing indoors. So far bindings feel stiff and precise. Probably should take down some of the stiffness. Skis themselves love to turn. Bindings help to get to the next turn.
      Alpine turns are a breeze.

      Thanks, Vadim! You can adjust spring stiffness by moving the screws at the back of the binding further in or out. If that's not enough, we also offer a Softer Spring Kit.

      Gonzos=Fun; 10/10!

      Woo to the hoo! This ski is fun! Snappy and quick, a blast to play on at the resort. It turns in the bumps, it puts a smile on your face when it's playtime. Yay Bishop!
