Loosen the Leash

Meet your new favorite ski buddy. If a ski could wag its tail, the Blitzen would be doing zoom zooms in the parking lot. Blitzen isn’t here to quietly get you down the hill. It’s here to yank you off the leash, drag you through powder stashes, and cackle while you try to catch your breath. Playful, quick, and dependable, this is your go-to weapon for ripping every corner of the mountain without taking yourself too seriously. Float in the fluff, carve trenches on the groom, slash a few trees for good measure—then lap it again with a grin plastered on your face. Yeah, that's a tennis ball over there. Suchaguboy!

Like a golden retriever hopped up on fresh snow and freedom, the Blitzen is loyal, eager, and always ready for one more run. Like all our telemark specific skis, it’s built with our proprietary TELEM-ARC TECHNOLOGY™ for full free heel send.

Our first ski to come in four sizes!  We were very intentional in the design of this ski in the smaller sizes, and slightly reduced the overall width of the ski to be lighter and more nimble edge to edge for shorter and lighter freeheeelers.

Experience unmatched control with Dual Triaxial Fiberglass reinforcement on both top and bottom for enhanced torsional stability and dynamic flex.

The high-performance sintered base is engineered for speed, complete with 2-color die-cut detailing, and partial wrap steel edge construction, and pre-tuned with a precision 1° base / 1° side bevel for smooth turn transitions and edge hold.

Built to handle anything the mountain throws at it, these boards feature ultra-durable UHMW sidewalls, and rubber dampening layers for added vibration absorption.

Some telemark skiers size down in their ski length, as the telemark stance with our feet separated front to back increases the overall effective edge and the effective length of the ski.

Other considerations:

If you answer yes to the following, you may want to size down / closer to your chin:

  • Are you a beginner or intermediate skier?
  • Do you weigh less than average for your height?
  • Do you like to make short, quick turns and seldom ski fast?
  • Do you prefer a carving ski with only camber, no rocker?

If you answer yes to the following, you may want to size up / closer to the top of your head:

  • Do you ski fast and aggressively?
  • Do you weigh more than average for your height?
  • Do you plan to do the majority of your skiing off trail?
  • Are you looking for a ski with a lot of rocker?

Here he is with owner/product designer Dave on a backcountry tour in the Gore Range across from Vail

      Lots of Late Season Fun.

Lovely set of boards that were a lot of fun. I got
These just as the spring started so a lot of freeze thaw stuff and a bit of soft corn, lots of ice and groomers.
They were really playful, held their edges in the crud and carved well when conditions softened up.

Purchased the Blitzen and the BMFr

Purchased the Blitzen and the BMFr. The first ride was a wake up call. After being on tele for the last 22 years, I felt like I needed to relearn everything.

Switched out for the soft springs and things settled down quite a bit. Four days in and I’m starting to get the hang of it.

This set up likes to go fast and needs to be driven. You can’t be passive, but as long as you’re willing to run fall line, and end your turns a little early you’ll be rewarded with a super stable platform. It’s not just comfortable at speed, it’s simply better at speed.

      Blitzen and training

Received the Blitzens and went for a ride and started slowly to see how they would run .In my life I don't train dogs, they train me to accept their behavior, so we were doing great till a Blitzen decided to run off on its own, catch an edge, and down i went . As I said I let them train me to accept their behavior so I did this for a few days and Blitzen decided to do the same. I decided it was time for some training so with a little research and a file I detuned the tips and tails edges back 3 inches on the running surface. From that point on the Blitzen's have a little smear in the tips and tails and we ride together. All in all an excellent , quick turning stable ski.

      Responsive

As a big dude- I need a platform that actually stands up to mass and input, and the Blitzen does that well... It’s the ski I’d been missing alongside the chedi...which I enjoy, but which lean more toward point and shoot

The Blitzen is far more responsive to nuanced weight shifts...engages cleanly, lets me dynamically carve through soft, fluffy bumps, as well as stays composed when driving through crud on piste. There’s real feedback underfoot without feeling nervous, and the ski rewards deliberate pressure rather than just speed.

A powerful, versatile charger that still allows precision and play when conditions get mixed.
