Everybody is different, and we understand that, if you're a lighter skier or just love that knee to the ski turn, we've developed a softer and more responsive spring to customize Bishop BMF telemark bindings to your turn. These springs work with both the BMF/R and BMF/3 bindings.  Four springs are included, enough for one pair of bindings.

These springs are 30% softer than our standard spring. They will give you a lighter feel, quicker lead changes, and allow you to flex your bindings a bit further. Check out this nerdy graph:

You guys blow it out of the water, every time I need something or someone you get back to me if not the same day, the following day. Thanks.

Softer springs

The softer springs really made a big difference for me. I can bend my knees easily and get low in the telemark position with them. Game changer for me.

Big Difference!

Standard springs were very stiff - I live on the lighter side at 140# so I had a tough time getting some knee bend on the standards. The Soft Springs are closer to my older Voile bindings. It seems they softened a bit after the first day or two as well. Makes a huge difference!

Is there a stiffer spring kit?

Will STIFFER springs be available? I'm 260# and feel like I could use a bit more resistance. How long should springs last before they get too soft?

Our current stiff springs are a bit stiffer than past years. You should inspect springs yearly, and to ensure the highest performance of your Bishop telemark binding, we recommend greasing the main springs with our Binding Butter at least every year or every million vertical feet, whichever comes first.

After three years or 3 million vertical feet, it is a good idea to replace your springs for the best performance and consistent flex.

Thanks!

BMF/R soft springs

Agreed, they are softer but still so, so stiff. The 3 is more for the overall skiability of the binding versus the spring itself. The team here is great and they got me the spring quickly but the bindings, IMO, need to be over-hauled. I guarantee I don't have any novel ideas but have already purchased a different binding.

Hey Jason, sorry to hear the BMFs are not your cup of tea. I'm going to reach out to you directly for more detailed feedback.
