Switching it up from 75mm to NTN - these bindings

Switching it up from 75mm to NTN - these bindings ski great and are super easy to step in and out. Love the feel and they are bomber....

These bindings are Lightning Ship Four-Edgers

These bindings are Lightning Ship Four-edgers for Deep Pow and G-force Carving on trail and off-piste. They will take your tele turn to the next level. They will put on a Jib Clinic for anyone who wants to butter.

Pretty much all you can ask for as far as torsional rigidity in a binding.

And you can take them into the backcountry?? With 75mm or NTN?? On whatever skis you want that day??

As advertised!

Stable, great tension, skis well. Comes with 2nd set of springs if you want less tension. Tours well with simple mechanism. Love the step in NTN set up. Love it.

Bishop BMF/R bindings at Snoqualmie Pass

It took me a few days to get used to the feel of my bindings and my new K2 Mindbender skis. The bindings seemed pretty stiff at first, but in an email Tom at Bishop told me that the bindings ski a bit more upright than other bindings. So, I adjusted my style and soon got the hang of it. I've been skiing tele for more than 30 years, and the BMF/R are the best bindings I've ever had. For now, I'm cruising the groomers at Snoqualmie Pass east of Seattle, and I'm doing it in style at the age of 76. Thanks to you, Bishop.

I like the way the bindings work. I wish they came with the softer springs though.

Big Fan!

I am relatively fresh to the free heel - but these are smooth and in control. I am in 75 mm boots. The step in is a huge benefit. A bit heavier than standard bindings (Voile, etc) on the climb, but well worth it! I switched to the Soft Springs which made a tremendous difference (I had a hard time getting flex on the Standard Springs at 140#).

Can’t give them 5 stars until I get a chance to hike in them.
Very easy to install and very solid technology.

Thanks, Mike! Take a hike!

Buy these bindings yesterday

Such a sweet binding. I'm coming off of a few seasons on another brand's NTN setup and those were good but these are great. Step in and release is dialed! Power transfer is fantastic. I've got them on a pair of Chedis and I am stoked on the package!

BMF/R Bindings Give Strength to the Telemark Turn

I notice how much easier it is to telemark all day long and feel the BMF/R bindings are the pivoting strength of the skier-skis. I do like more flex in the movement, so purchased the softer springs. I skied with the stiff springs at the most relaxed settling that gave great control, but I was unable to put my knee on the ski. Will switch to the softer springs for another day tomorrow!

5+ Stars! SUPERB skis and bindings!

I grew up skiing in Europe, and have been to over 160 ski areas/resorts, and over 20 years as a certified Telemark instructor; and during that time, I have tried/demo'ed or owned just about every Telemark binding available. I had a chance over 2-days at Monarch Colorado in early April 2021 to demo and test-fly the BISHOP BMF bindings. I had a very specific decision criteria;
(1) High speed alpine turns with ski race coaches - CHECK!
(2) Moguls, Bumps, Variable terrain - CHECK!
(3) Terrain Park, jumps and kickers - CHECK!
(4) All mountain, all terrain Telemark cruising - CHECK!
(5) Kick-and-Glide on flats and traverses - CHECK!
10 OUT OF 10 THEY PERFORMED FLAWLESSLY across the entire spectrum of what a Telemark binding should do!
In the first day alone, I was completely convinced that I found my new Telemark bindings! BMF are rugged, reliable, and solidly designed and built. I have since had a number of my Telemark students buy Bishop bindings and be completely delighted with them.
MAKE TELEMARK GREAT AGAIN!

Love my bindings

Being on tele the last 20+ years, I have skied everything from voile pins to axl and they were all good. None as good as these BMF/Rs. The progressive flex with a 75mm boot and soft springs couldn’t be anymore “butter”. The step in binding with brakes is as big of an advancement in tele as plastic boots. Keep your tips up

Best damn binding EVER.

Phenomenal piece of equipment! After struggling with power, precision and durability on a number of NTN options, I invested in some BMF's (both versions, touring and non). First turn, I knew it was money well spent. The power is out of this world, and the step in and security/precision of the binding is beyond anything I have tele'd on in over 20 years. In a word, these things rail. Deeps, steeps, backcountry, bumps, groomers, crud or anything else I have thrown at them- They have responded brilliantly. I am beyond happy with the product. Speding 100 plus days on snow a season, these are without a doubt the best piece of equipment I have ever invested in. Worth every penny!

Killer Product

This will be the third pair of Bishops I have owned. Two Bombers and now the BMF/R. Although I have few days on the BMF/R I can say with certainty these things are hard charging with lateral stiffness like no other. The “alpine” style step in is killer and makes ski patrolling a lot easier. I would recommend this binding to both 75mm and NTN skiers. The Bishop team are truly dedicated to what they do. Truly an amazing product!

Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread!

As soon as I read a review and saw the BMF's I KNEW I had to have these bad boys! As a recent convert to Telemark Style skiing (from Alpine - and a bit of a gear head), the BMF's looked like they had been designed by someone like me for me.

As a member of PSIA and TM L2 certified, I was looking for something that would perform and take me to and thru my goal of obtaining TM L3. The BMF was made just for this - and to have FUN!

Best Binding I have skiied.

Busted my old setup so I started to look for ways to prevent getting a high quality performance binding without giving up my beloved 75mm boots. I found these. Wow was I impressed. The power transfer is the best I have ever skied, and every inch of the binding screams "Ski me as hard as you can". Well, I did. I'd never felt comfortable hucking on a tele binding before because they felt sloppy on a landing but these helped make me feel secure enough to really go for it since you can land outside a stance and still be able to steer your ski without being extremely backseat. The step in step out is also awesome! I'm a patroller and this feature has allowed me to more rapidly respond to a scene and not have to worry about where my skis are off to next first, and the patient second. Highly recommend, nothing bad to say about this binding at all.

More Grins!

I skied with cables for 20 years and I could feel myself pushing their limits especially when skiing fast, through crud, and when it got steep. Not wanting to give up my comfy boots and looking for something that will be able to handle what I like to ski, I looked into these.

I talked to a few people that had them and they were extremely impressed with the quality, the ride, and the customer service. I dove in.

Their customer service is outstanding. I needed a toe swap on a new NTN pair I picked up on a deal and they were more than happy to help. Dave and Erik are super friendly and I’ve heard stories about people showing up at the shop and they drop everything to help out.

The switch plate mount is an ingenious design. Even if you don’t have more than one pair of skis, you know you have the freedom to build a quiver when you find a screaming deal.

The bindings themselves are hands down amazing. They are a very active binding enabling you to ski hard and never lose control in any condition or speed. Rear ski tip dive on steep terrain is gone because you don’t have to drop that knee as low to maintain control. The bindings open you up to hit bigger, steeper, deeper lines, and enable you to plow through crust and crud. The step-in and brakes are a welcome perk. I am not disappointed; I feel spoiled.

Bottom line: These make me ski better and grin wider.

Best ever

These bindings are the best I've ever used,. Easily configurable to any stance style and boot. These do not lack in power either, I mounted them on a big pair of boards, 120 underfoot and 192 in length and they steer them through anything with ease. From quick stance transitions to putting power through them on hard turns or steep terrain; these bindings shred. Best decision I've ever made. I cannot stop giggling helplessly when I ski these. I also love how they are 75mm compatible so I can keep picking old tele setups out of the dumpster. SO GOOD.

TWO THUMBS UP!

After way to many years on archaic equipment I finally decided it was time to really ski or get of the mountain so I purchased the BMF-R and Gonzo combo. I like the fact that Bishop has created not only the best performing binding I have ever used but combined it with a skis of equal high end performance. I'm not a techie but can appreciate the function and performance I experience on the mountains. I'm a better skier with much less effort on my BMF-R/ Gonzo combination representing the tribe in Vermont. Customer service is wicked awesome,Bishop rocks!

Amazing

Awesome bindings. After years of experimenting with various tele bindings, I have found one that works and makes me a better skier. The control is amazing. All turns, just not the tele are easier in this binding. Highly recommended if you want to up your game and feel more in control. Thank you Bishop!

Has it all!

This binding has it all: NTN and 75mm compatible, one size fits all boot sizes, step in/step out, rocker launch proof, bomb proof construction, free pivot touring, easy switch between skis, and excellent customer service. Can't go wrong with the bmf-r

The Bomb

I started with the 1.0 and then moved to the 2.0 and then upgraded to the BMF’s as of last season, they have supreme control, the step in is super convenient, and the lateral stability is the best of any Tele bindings I have ever skied. The best way takeaway I can give on theses bindings is I don’t worry about them because they are so solid and they allow me to ski my best.

Feels like cable, ease of alpine

Best of both worlds - control of cable bindings (02's or Axl's) with the ease of a step in binding. No more fussing with loose cables or runaway skis during sketchy situations. Have always preferred fit/feel of 75 mm boots and finally have an option vs NTN.

Love the ease of adjusting the tension so I can modify my style on the hill. Have now picked up switch plates and can run these on multiple skis - can switch in less than 2 minutes. Even better, can have friends try them out with a quick adjustment to boot size.

All in all, bomber bindings, excellent service from the team at Bishop and I'm regularly asked about them on the hill. Liked them so much, we picked up a pair of BMF-3's. Keep up the good work guys
